By the way to be in consideration for a best answer you have to answer the whole question aon all the teams and not on one or two. Otherwise don't bother answering at all.
AL East
Baltimore Orioles - Good pitching but lousy management
Boston Red Sox - Nothing bad about them. They have everything from defense to offense to pitching.
NY Yankees - Again bad management. They believe they could be a world series contender by paying guys like Abreu, Rivera, ARod, etc. $16-$40 million per season. For what? I used to like the Yankees from the 90s with guys like Joe Girardi, David Cone, Scott Brosius, Chuck Knoblauch, etc.
Tampa Bay Rays - They are getting there. They're just in the wrong division to do it. They just need probably $20 million dollars and they can be on par with the Jays.
Toronto Blue Jays - I live in Toronto and I can't stand this team. The ballpark, the fans, the whole city is just terrible.
AL Central
Chicago White Sox - The problem with the White Sox is that they're just a one year wonder. Other teams solved them. Also their injuries to their key players didn't help them.
Cleveland Indians - Again nothing terrible with this team. They made all the right moves, a great payroll, good management, fantastic farm system.
Detroit Tigers - There is no reason why they shouldn't at least make it to the ALCS in the next couple of seasons. They could have dominant pitching, they have very good defense and their offense can be pact with healthy players (I.E. Sheffield)
Kansas City Royals - Wrong division. They are getting there. But as with the Orioles they have terrible management and the owner is just keen on making easy money just like the Marlins owner.
Minnesota Twins - Not enough money on their payroll to keep guys like Santana or Hunter or even Nathan. They have to rely on their farm system and guys like Mauer.
AL West
Los Angeles Angels - Back of the rotation. But that's why they added John Garland. Overall, very good team, as long as their offense stays healthy and Garrett Anderson keeps the momentum he had at the end of last season.
Oakland Athletics - Management. Offense. Pitching. Ever since they lost their three-headed monster and Giambi/Stairs they haven't been able to get the job done. Plus they gave up one of their great prospects in Bobby Kielty.
Seattle Mariners - In my opinion, if they would have kept playing well up until around August they would've been in the ALCS. They have to make a few adjustments in their pitching, but besides that they have a good team.
Texas Rangers - The owners have the money but don't know what to do with it. They have the farm system, but too afraid to use it. So as in the past, they pay guys like Juan Gonzalez $25 for a season and end up losing him to injuries.
NL East
Atlanta Braves - This will be their last good season and everything will go down from there. They'll lose both Jones' within the next year, Glavine will retire, Smoltz will retire soon, they don't have a good farm system, etc. Francoeur is their only bright spot.
Florida Marlins - The owner is stingy and doesn't want to spend the money to extend his players contracts or look into the free agent market. He develops players like Uggla or Cabrera but then loses them to teams like the Red Sox or Yankees.
New York Mets - Their 4 or 5 starter. That's their weak spot. Plus guys like Hernandez not being effective every start. Martinez can pitch well still, but he has to prove that. Maine proved he can pitch, so he should be moved to no. 3 starter.
Philadelphia Phillies - Now since they got into the playoffs and won the NL East, they'll be the team to beat in the NL East. They have everything. Yes, even pitching.
Washington Nationals - This team is a quagmire in my opinion. I don't even know what to think of them. Their quite irrelevant right now. But they played well in the last few months of the season.
NL Central
Chicago Cubs - Luck. That's what they need. Plain and simple luck. They've spent the money. They have the talent. All they need to do is upgrade their pitching.
Cincinnati Reds - As with the Nationals they're irrelevant right now. Plus they're in a 6 team division, so pretty hard to move up anywhere in the standings.
Houston Astros - Dismal season. Guaranteed. With Biggio retired they have to look for a 2B with defense/offense. They have to clean house and reestablish their team just like the 2003 season.
Milwaukee Brewers - Banked! Team to beat in the NL Central this coming season. As long as they keep Sheets healthy. Interesting stat, he's the forth pitcher in 107 years to strikeout 200+ batters and only walk under 30-40 batters.
Pittsburgh Pirates - Another quagmire unfortunately. They have a terrific ballpark but they need the funds to reestablish themselves. Everything is wrong with that team now.
St. Louis Cardinals - Health. They need their team to stay healthy for the entire season in order to win a division crown or even to make it into the playoffs.
NL West
Arizona Diamondbacks - They're going to have another terrific season. They will make it to the World Series this year. A lot of their young players now have playoff experience and have gotten that monkey off their back.
Colorado Rockies - A one hit wonder, just like the White Sox. They got rid of Torrealba, Fogg and someone else (can't remember their name). So don't expect too much from them this season.
Los Angeles - Health is the keyword for the analysis. Actually, health and money. They spent way too much money on Pierre and Schmidt. They both underperformed due to injuries. But a lot is expected from them, especially with a lot of players hitting their prime and Joe Torre managing. They should've actually picked up Rodriguez, in my opinion.
San Diego Padres - Heartbreaking for them against the Rockies. Most likely a 3-way tie team for the wild card. They have everything though. Just pickup another pitcher like Ben Sheets and they'll do fine.
San Francisco Giants - Can't stand the management, the fans and I think the players hate both as well. The management used Barry Bonds to make some money. They overspend on a player like Barry Zito. They won't go anywhere, 5th place in their division.
