Paramore Tickets - Paramore Unveil Summer 2010 Tour Dates
In the wake of releasing their acclaimed album Brand New Eyes in 2009, Paramore has remained a near constant tour presence, and it looks like the band's pace isn't going to slow down any time soon. Paramore recently returned from a trip to Australia and Asia and has U.S. dates lined up for this spring, beginning at the end of April, and on March 22 the group announced plans to headline the 2010 Honda Civic Tour this summer. MTV.com quoted Paramore singer Hayley Williams as saying, "We are so excited to be headlining the Honda Civic Tour and to hit all these great cities and see our fans across the country. We have a killer lineup and can't wait until July."
The 2010 Honda Civic Tour featuring Paramore headlining will begin July 23 in Raleigh, N.C. The trek will see Paramore—along with Tegan and Sara and two more to-be-announced acts—stopping in U.S. cities like Harrington, Del.; Boston, Mass.; Columbia, Md.; Gilford, N.H.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Chicago, Ill.; St, Augustine, Fla.; New Orleans, La.; Dallas, Texas; Phoenix, Ariz.; San Diego, Calif. and other cities before coming to a close in Anaheim, Calif. on Sept. 19. Also this summer, Paramore will perform at the Bamboozle Festival, to be held at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J. on May 1 and 2. The fifth installment of the East Coast music festival (which will subsequently hit the road and stop in scattered U.S. cities through late June) will also feature performances by Weezer, MGMT, Ke$ha, Drake, Girl Talk, Saves the Day, Motion City Soundtrack, Reliant K, Mute Math, Hanson, Matt & Kim and many more. This isn't the first time Paramore will perform at Bamboozle, as the band scored a gig at the festival after releasing their debut full-length album All We Know Is Falling in 2005.
The follow-up to All We Know Is Falling, Riot arrived via Atlantic Records in 2007 and earned Paramore a Grammy nod for Best New Artist thanks to hit singles off the album like "crushcrushcrush," "That's What You Get" and "Misery Business." Despite the success of those singles, Paramore really hit the big time when their single "Decode" landed on the soundtrack to Twilight. The Franklin, Tenn. bred band—comprised of Williams, guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zach Farro—has continued to secure more success with their third album, 2009's Brand New Eyes.
Paramore recently beat out Green Day, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend and Kings of Leon at the NME Awards, held in London in February. Although Paramore couldn't make it to the awards show, held at the O2 Brixton Academy, the band did appear in video form, saying, "Thank you so much, we want to thank all of you who voted on NME.com." Apparently Green Day isn't harboring any bad feelings about being beaten by Paramore at the NME Awards, as the band recruited Hayley Williams & Co. to open for them in Dublin on June 23. One day before supporting Green Day at Dublin's Marley Park, Paramore will headline their own show at King's Hall in Belfast, Ireland.
