Trace Adkins Tickets - Partnering With Toby Keith

Country star Trace Adkins needs no help in rising to the top of the country music charts, but he did make a strategic career move when he signed onto Toby Keith's label Show Dog Universal; a new Adkins album is set to arrive from the label this coming August. The musician recently talked to the Green Bay Gazette about his label change, saying, "I entered into this thing because I have a lot of respect for Toby. I'm finishing up this new record, and when I get ready to make that decision on what the first single is going to be, I'm going to sit down with him and we'll go over the stuff, because I value his opinion." Perhaps a collaborative single is in their future?

The upcoming album will signal Adkins' 11th studio effort. He has been on the road since November alongside Martina McBride for their Shine All Night trek. While there is no official word yet on what the upcoming single might be, Adkins recently gave an interview to bnd.com giving fans reasons to cheer. "I know that it will be a fun record for the fans. Hell, it was fun for me. In fact, it's a real 'up' record." Adkins will wrap up his tour with McBride in April and will resume touring with pal Toby Keith during the summer months. Adkins is also enjoying some time at the top of the charts with the collaborative single, "Hillbilly Bone," which he recorded with Blake Shelton.

Fans will remember that Trace Adkins got his start in the industry during the mid-90s, blending the sounds of honky tonk with gospel, rock 'n' roll and blues. It wasn't long before his debut album hit the shelves and people took notice. Called Dreamin' Out Loud, it produced the number one hit single, "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing" and also took two other songs to the top including "I Left Something Turned on at Home" and "Every Light in the House." It was an impressive start for Adkins, who continued places tunes on the charts throughout the rest of the decade.

The 2000s helped make Adkins an even more recognizable figure in the industry with the albums Chrome and Songs About Me. His latest release was X (Ten) which featured the use of big, bold guitar licks and rhythmic drum work. Some tracks that are featured on this release include "All I Ask For Anymore," "Til the Last Shot's Fired" and "I Can't Outrun You." His vocal talent is once again apparent on this rousing collection of tunes, giving listeners an idea of how he rose to success with such speed.

A talented singer with a desire for the sounds of old-fashioned country, Trace Adkins is bound to deliver a setlist of tunes in a town near you. See where he is playing next and make plans with friends to enjoy the show.
