Bon Jovi fans will be happy to hear that the band is re-releasing all of their classic studio albums as Special Editions that will feature exceptional recordings as bonus tracks. Every one of the band's first ten albums will feature the original tracks along with era-specific live recordings for the extra tracks. The bands all new albums will feature new packaging along with new artwork and images of the band throughout each period. The Band also included some new liner notes that document their success throughout their twenty five year career. The Detroit hip-hop-loving rocker has been named as the opening act for Bon Jovi's The Circle Tour, which stops at Canad Inns Stadium on July 17. The band has also declared a contest for local artists to open shows at eight cities on the tour, including Winnipeg. As part of the Wanted: A Super Band Tonight contest, one local unsigned rock, pop or country act from each city will be selected to open for the New Jersey group and Kid Rock. Three unknown or little-known bands will earn spots on New Jersey's biggest concert stage this May via Bon Jovi's "Wanted: a Super Band Tonight!" contest. Winners will play 20-minute sets to open Bon Jovi's May 26, 27 and 29 concerts at New Meadowlands Stadium, the new home of the Giants and the Jets. New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi keep packing the stadiums. They will play Soldier Field on July 30-31. The band has embarked on a two-year tour of 135 shows in 30 countries to promote its latest album, The Circle. As they hit the road again, they said their fame and longevity has really come from the connection they have with their fans. Bon Jovi is going back to its beginnings. The band synonymous with New Jersey will re-release its first 10 albums on May 11. Each will include live recordings taken from the same time the albums were originally made.
