The History of New York Rangers Tickets
The New York Rangers is one of the original NHL teams. Lester Patrick established the team in 1926. They are one of the most popular teams in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers History
In their second season, the Rangers defeated the Montreal Maroons to win the Stanley Cup. In 1932-33, the Rangers led by Bill and Bun Cook and center Frank Boucher, won their second Stanley Cup beating the Toronto Maple Leafs. In late 1930s, Frank Boucher became the head coach of the team. In 1939-40, the Rangers won their third Stanley Cup against the Leafs. The next several years the team missed playoffs. In the 1960s, the team was back once again. The Rangers went on to enter the finals twice in the 1970s but lost to the Boston Bruins.
In 1973-74, the series against the Philadelphia Flyers is till date known to be one of the most memorable semifinal series. The highlight of the series remains the fight between Dave Schultz of the Flyers and Dale Rolfe of the Rangers. In the mid 1970s, the Rangers acquired Esposito and Carol Vadnais from the Bruins. In 1975, Ratelle and Joe Zanussi joined the team. Swedish players Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson from WHA also joined the Rangers that year. In 1979, the Rangers defeated the Islanders to reach the finals. However, they lost the cup to the Canadiens.
In the 1980s, the Rangers played some tough games, though not winning any Cups. In the early 1990s Craig Patrick, the general manager of the Rangers hired Herb Brooks as the team’s coach. The Rangers picked up Mark Messier and Adam Graves from the Oilers. In the 1993-94 season, the Rangers won their first Stanley Cup in 54 years defeating the Vancouver Canucks. Crucial goals from Leetch, Graves and Messeir gave the Rangers the much-needed victory. Leetch won the Conn Smythe trophy that season. The Rangers were back in form again. New York Rangers tickets sale soared up for the next season playoffs. In 1996, the Rangers picked up Wyane Kertzky who led the team to the Eastern Conference finals. The Rangers however lost to the Philadelphia flyers.
In 2003-04, the team finally saw an upcoming phase. New players such as Petr Prucha, Dominic Moore and Blair Betts entered the team. In the 2005-06 season, the Rangers ended the season with the best record since the 1993-94 season. Henrik Lundqvist, Martin Starka, Prucha and Jagr pushed the team up to a great season.

Seven Seasons of Disappointment

Key players were bogged down with injuries and in the case of Norm Nixon; the injury was sustained during a softball game. During the 1986-1987 seasons, the team made the dubious distinction of having the second worst season record in the entire NBA. Needless to say, sales of Los Angeles Clippers tickets were on the low side as well.
While continuing to play in a weak manner, the team was almost constantly acquiring and trading new players, while shifting coaching personnel as well. By 1999, the Clippers found themselves with a young and inexperienced team- going into the new century; many basketball observers did not see how the Clippers would make it.
And yet they did. Sales of Los Angeles Clippers tickets began to pick up almost immediately, after a number of players were added to the team, all of whom played a dynamic and high-flying style of basketball. By the 2005-2006 season, the Clippers were clocking in a number of winning streaks and finished with a 47-35 record. The team would go on to win its first playoff game in 16 years in 2006.
