Jay-Z Tour 2010: Dates Announced And Tickets On Sale
Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969), better known by his stage name Jay-Z, is an American rapper and businessman. He is one of the most financially successful hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in America, having had a net worth of over $150 million in 2009, He has sold 40 million albums worldwide while receiving ten Grammy Awards for his musical work. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest MC's of all-time.
Along with his financial and musical success, Jay-Z is known for quarrelling with other artists in the rap industry, the most famous feud being between him and fellow New York rapper Nas, which was eventually settled in 2005. He married American R&B star Beyoncé Knowles on April 4, 2008 On December 11th, 2009 Jay Z was ranked as the 10th best overall artist of 2000-2009 decade by Billboard Magazine. Jay-Z announced the North American dates for his 2010 BP3 Tour. The tour has begin on February 22 in Houston.Young Jeezy is scheduled to open all dates on the tour, tickets for which go on sale beginning November 13.
The first leg of the tour is still under way, with dates in Fresno, California (Saturday), Los Angeles (Sunday), Austin, Texas (Tuesday) and Champaign, Illinois (November 12).
The second leg will make stops in Dallas; New Orleans; Atlanta; Greensboro, North Carolina; Washington, D.C.; Boston; Pittsburgh; St. Louis; Indianapolis; Denver; Los Angeles; and more, according to the press release. Additional day of show and on-sale information will be announced shortly for stops in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Uniondale, New York; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Detroit.
Most of Concert tickets today are sold online only. Depending on the popularity of the band or the plays, the tickets are sold out well in advance. In some cases, you can even see Broadway tickets and other concert tickets selling out in a matter of hours, sometimes even minutes.
