Warm Up the Bar Stools: Best New Years Eve 2010 Parties in Minneapolis

Warm up the bar stools, get the speakers ready, here is a list of the best New Year's Eve parties in Minneapolis.

First Avenue Presents New Year’s Eve 2010 Deep Space Danceteria

First Avenue, one of the hottest dance venues with the hugely successful Saturday night Too Much Love party is hosting this New Year’s Eve night featuring Too Much Love DJ Sovietpanda as well as special guest Classixx who have done remixes for Phoenix and other rock and dance-punk bands. They will be featuring a “total eclipse” at midnight as well as a champagne toast, moonwalk contest, photobooth and Tang drink specials. The tickets are 5 dollars in advance and 15 at the door.

Metromix Presents New Year’s Eve at Chambers

The Chambers Hotel in Minneapolis is one of the swankiest hotels in the area and what better place to dress up in your nicest duds and party down in three different themed rooms. Admission is 20 dollars which gets you a free swag bag, champagne toast and more. Rat Pack/Mad Men themed attire is suggested but they won’t stop you from getting in the door based on your outfit. There will be a full bar and trendy atmosphere likely catered to the slightly older 20 somethings that want a more classy atmosphere than the local bar.

Sauce Spirits & Soundbar Show

In Uptown new bar and music venue Sauce is going to be throwing a fun, lowkey New Year’s Eve bash with blowing up local band Lookbook as well as Mystery Palace, Beatrix Jar and local remix artist and DJ Gigamesh spinning the dance tunes past midnight. The retro 80s synth sounds of Lookbook will be a great way to ring in the new year, and who knows, if they get big it could be one of those nights you remember forever.
