SEC Championship Football Tickets - Place Your Bets on Florida
Winning the SEC title game has been a prerequisite for winning the BCS National Championship for a while now, so it would make sense to place an NCAA Football futures bet on the winner of the SEC title game and then parlay that with the national champion. I recommend an imaginary investment (or a legal one done in Las Vegas or offshore) in the Florida Gators, because at this point they look like the best team in the SEC. Still, strange things can and often do happen, so betting on Alabama might net nice profits in this time of economic slowdown. Georgia is an outside shot at this point, but also worth looking at, so I'll give you gamblers the deal with the Bulldogs, too.
Why Bet on Florida?
Even though Alabama holds the No. 1 spot in the polls, while Florida is at No. 3, Florida is still a better choice to win the SEC and National Title Game. At 6-1 in the SEC, they are a game ahead of their closest rival in the SEC East, Georgia, making them the most likely team to win their division. Gators fans who are licking their chops at the idea of buying SEC Championship Game football tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/sec-championship-football-tickets/ this season are probably well aware of the games the Gators will have to win to finish out the season with just that sole loss to Ole Miss all those weeks ago. The Gators play South Carolina (7-3) at home, The Citadel (3-7) at home, and Florida State (7-2) on the road in the regular season. Both Carolina and FSU present decent matchups, but the Citadel game should give the Gators a nice bye week to rest up. Presumably the Gators will play Alabama in the title game, regardless of whether 'Bama remains undefeated or not. However, Florida will beat Alabama in the SEC title game because they're getting hotter while 'Bama is cooling down. Against decent opponents like LSU, Tennessee and Kentucky, Alabama has struggled to muster over 30 points, whereas Florida averaged 48 points versus those same three teams.
Why Consider Alabama?
Alabama has the easiest road to the SEC title game. They are out in front of the Western Division of the SEC by about a billion lengths, beating closest competitor LSU by three full games. They play Mississippi State and Auburn in their final two regular season games, and neither of those teams owns a winning record. They'll coast into the title game rested, fully prepared and fully healthy and with a shining No. 1 next to their name on the scoreboard. But just because we're certain they will get there, doesn't mean they'll win the game. However, 'Bama fans will point out that their Tide defense is ranked 4th in the nation, whereas Florida is ranked 15th. If it's a low scoring affair, Alabama has the edge.
There's always Georgia.
If SEC Championship Game football tickets are going to have the name Georgia on them, the Bulldogs will have to get some help from Florida losing to an SEC team at least once in the last three weeks of play ... which means they will have to lose to South Carolina. If they don't then Georgia can't get to the SEC title game. If Florida loses to Carolina, your stock in Georgia will rise considerably.
