Gossip Girl - the Second Season
The second season of Gossip girl is coming up soon, The first episode will air April 21st, 2008 on CW. There will be 5 new episodes for fans to enjoy in the second season. Rumours has already leaked about the upcoming episodes, the hottest being the one concerning Nate and Vanessa exchanging spit. For a TV-show all gossip is good gossip and wether the rumours are true or not they have good commercial value nonetheless, and what Tv- show could possible attract a more gossipy audience then this show. The hype surrounding the show has made Gossip girl blogs made by amateurs pop up all over the web, however real life gossip girls is not exactly news. They've been around since Adam took a bite of the wrong apple.
The writers strike earlier this year threatened to delay the upcoming season, but the strike is officially over and the season is back on track.There is word out that the new season will include not 5 but 9 fresh episodes, however this has not been confirmed. There will most certainly be 5 episodes, as this was confirmed in a press release published by CWTW. The Gossip girl crew came back to New York in march 2008 to start shooting episodes for season two and the crew seemed to be thrilled to start up again and especially Leighton Meester who had this to say in an interview with OK!Magazine in :
"But everyone really wants to get back to work cause as nice as it is to have a little vacation, we're all so fun together. And going to work we all get kinds of kooky, especially me. It's really, really fun! Everyone's been living like crazy lives so it'll be nice to settle back down and have dinner parties at each other's houses."
The Blair bitch project is the name of the first episode of the second season and will be episode number 14 counting from the pilot. In this episode Dan comes home after a vistit to his mum and is surprised when he meets Rufus new girlfriend. She appears to have spent the night there and is busy making pancakes in the kitchen. Blair is alone at a club waiting for her friends to arrive but nobody has shown up. Jenny is trying to sell some of her stuff at a consignation shop.
Nate and Vanessa is observed kissing, but the story behind this is not clear. One thing is clear though, the second season will have no problem achieving the same level of success as the first season of Gossip girl
