Will A-Rod opt out of his contract this fall? and if so, how many years will he be seeking and at what total?
value? and last but not least, what team will he end up with next year? I'll try to answer it. He currently has 3 years left on his contract at 80 million total. He will be looking for a 8 year deal worth 30 million per season, or around $210 total million dollars. I will say that if the Yankees don't win the WS, A-Rod will not re-sign with the Yankees. If they do win the WS, the Yankees will try to re-sign him and they will give him 30 million per year for the next 8 years. If the Yankees don't win the WS, he will either go to the Red Sox, Angels, Dodgers, Mariners, Cubs or Mets, and I say he will go to the Red Sox.

By the way, A-Rod is 32, so he will be seeking a deal until his 40th B-Day in 2015. And this next deal should see him break the HR record.
Actually he will be seeking 240 million over 8 years. That's 30 million times 8 seasons.
I think he will opt out and sign about an 8 year contract for about $25-30 mil per year. I would love for him to go to the Cubs, but I think he will end up on the Red Sox - just a hunch.
