Fine Escapes-Hotels in Indiana
The state of Indiana is oftentimes ignored as a tourist destination. However, I really enjoy visiting Indiana. The people are nice, the weather is great and there is always something to do. On top of that, the hotels and resorts in the area are impressive.
Omni Severin Hotel
If you enjoy historic hotels, you should definitely check out Omni Severin Hotel. Located in the heart of Indianapolis, the location simply couldn’t be better. Whether you want to go watch the Indiana Pacers play in the Conseco Fieldhouse or you want to go to a classy downtown restaurant, you’ll be able to do so without have to fight a lot of traffic. It’s also connected right next to the Circle Center Mall, which is one of my favorite malls in the nation.
University Place Hotel
When visiting a cousin at Purdue University, I was pleasantly surprised by University Place Hotel. Usually, hotels located near universities aren’t upscale. However this hotel is very luxurious. This is also a good place to stay if you are visiting the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or the Indianapolis Museum of Art. University Place Hotel is relatively new so you can expect all the modern amenities.
Yellow Rose Inn
For those looking for a quaint place to relax in the state of Indiana, I recommend the Yellow Rose Inn. It’s impeccably decorated and utilizes very interesting themes in each room. The staff is very helpful and will make sure that you enjoy your stay. Even though it is quite luxurious, you won’t have to spend a whole lot of money to stay here.
The Canterbury
At first, this hotel seems to be a bit out of place. With a European flair in the heart of Indiana, The Canterbury is a very unique place to stay. You will feel like you left the United States and landed in a luxury hotel in France or Italy.
