Carrie Underwood Tickets - Carrie Underwood Tapped For Brooks & Dunn Concert Special

Carrie Underwood is among the start-studded lineup of country artists slated to perform at the upcoming concert special honoring one of the genre's most famous duos of all time: Brooks & Dunn. Along with Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Jennifer Hudson, Sugarland, George Strait, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Reba McEntire, Underwood will perform at ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn—The Last Rodeo. The special will be filmed in Las Vegas on April 19, just one day after the AMC Awards, and will air on CBS on May 23.

Underwood is one of the nominees for the upcoming 45th Academy of Country Music Awards and will also perform at the awards show. Underwood and Taylor Swift are the lone females in the running for the coveted Entertainer of the Year honor, competing against other nominees Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band. Underwood and Swift will also face off in the Top Female Vocalist of the Year category, along with Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack.

Play On, Carrie Underwood's latest album, is nominated in the Album of the Year category. Underwood's top-selling third album will compete with American Saturday Night (Brad Paisley), Lady Antebellum (Lady Antebellum), Revolution (Miranda Lambert) and The Foundation (Zac Brown Band) for the Album of the Year honor. "Cowboy Casanova," Carrie Underwood's sassy hit song off Play On, is in the running for Song of the Year (with Underwood earning recognition as an artist and composer) along with Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Billy Currington's "People Are Crazy," Miranda Lambert's "White Liar" and Taylor Swift's "You Belong with Me."

Carrie Underwood's "I Told You So" featuring Randy Travis also scored a nomination for Vocal Event of the Year. "Hillbilly Bone" (Blake Shelton featuring Trace Adkins), "Honky Tonk Stomp" (Brooks & Dunn featuring Billy Gibbons), "I'm Alive" (Kenny Chesney with Dave Matthews) and "Seeing Stars" (Jack Ingram featuring Patty Griffin) are also nominated in the Vocal Event of the Year category. The announcement of Underwood's six ACM nods comes on the heels of the American Idol Season 4 champion taking home her fifth Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals (for "I Told You So" with Randy Travis) in January.

Underwood's performances at the ACM Awards and the Brooks & Dunn special fit in between the singer's current batch of tour dates. The newly-engaged singer kicked off her tour in support of Play On in Reading, Pa. on March 11. One date that Underwood has yet to set is her wedding date. Underwood and NHL hockey star Mike Fisher announced their engagement at the end of 2009 but the happy couple has been too busy with their respective careers to plan the nuptials. According to The Boot, Underwood revealed that she and her hockey player fiancé will split their time between Nashville (in the summer) and Ottawa (during hockey season—when she's not on tour) after they tie the knot.
