Milwaukee Brewers Tickets – June Team Overview
Milwaukee Brewers tickets should be hot sellers this summer, based on the fact that they still have a great shot at getting to the playoffs. As of June 10, 2008, the Milwaukee Brewers are in a tight race for the top of the division in the NL Central. Chicago has been pushing the pack from the front, but Milwaukee, St. Louis and Houston have been right on the heels of the Cubs. This should make for a great stretch run. You should get out to Miller Park to see the Brewers set up for the thrilling finale of the season by getting some Milwaukee Brewers tickets.
This season the Brewers pitchers are having some troubles early on. Team ERA is 4.20, ranked 10th in the National League as of June 10, 2008. Ben Sheets’ 2.62 ERA is the best of the starters, and he’s been doing more than his fair share t get this team where they need to be. Milwaukee it grateful to have him back after he missed a good chunk of the season to injury last year. Plenty of criticism has been leveled Eric Gagne’s way. His ERA as of June 10, 2008 is 6.98, and there is a call for him to step down as the team’s closer, even though he received such a substantial contract to come to Milwaukee. If Gagne can get back to the Gagne of old then there should be fewer problems with the defense winning some games. There might even be some Milwaukee Brewers tickets available for the playoffs.
This year, the Brewers have some high standards to live up to on offense. It’s unfortunate that as of June 10, 2008 the Brewers have not yet lived up to those extremely high expectations, but they still have plenty of time to get back up to their 2007 levels. Right now the Brewers are ranked 11th in runs in the National League with 278 total runs scored. In the home run department, the Brewers were falling behind early on. But, thanks to a hot month in May, they currently have 70 homers, ranking them 5th in the NL. So who’s to blame? Well, Prince Fielder was having a very slow year, although he has upped his HR total to ten home runs so far this season. His slugging percentage is a mere .467, which is not all that great compared to where he was hitting last season. However, there are a few highlights on the team. Ryan Braun is continuing to succeed, as he has a slugging percentage of .566, with 16 home runs. When you get Milwaukee Brewers tickets, make sure to cheer extra loudly for Braun.
