Cleveland Cavaliers Ready For A Championship Run
Last year, all the buzz in the NBA was about a Kobe/Lebron match up in the finals. They even had the puppets going at it in shoe commercials. Just like the Dan and Dave commercials for the Olympics of years past, one of them did not make it. LeBron's cavs fell short, losing in the Eastern conference finals to Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.
According to LeBron, every since that game, he has been playing for the start of this year's playoffs. Well, the playoffs are finally here. The Cavs started the playoff this year with a 96-83 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Cavs have the look and the feel of a champion this year. They have experienced the disappointment of losing a heart breaking series and have the home court advantage through out the playoffs.
They have added some very good players like Antwain Jamison and Anthony Parker, not to mention, the big diesel, Shaquille O'neal. Barring an injury, Cleveland has to be considered the favorite to win it all this year.
An added bonus, would be to get the see the match up that we all expected to see last year in the finals. That would be the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James against the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant. It would be even sweeter this year since Cleveland has added Shaq.
Shaq and Kobe won their first 3 championships together. Shaq got his 4th ring with Dwayne Wade and Kobe got his 4th last year. If the 2 teams that we expect to make the finals actually get there, then one of them would win their fifth ring this year. My money would be on Shaq.
